Yes, we have female instructors part of our team.
How do I book lessons?
You can book lessons by contacting us through our website, email, or phone. Once we confirm availability, we’ll match you with an instructor and arrange a start date.
How much are lessons?
Lesson prices are agreed at the time of booking. We also offer block bookings for better value. Please contact us for our latest prices.
How long are lessons?
Most lessons are 1 or 2 hours, depending on your preference and availability.
Can I start lessons without a provisional licence?
No — you must have a valid UK provisional driving licence before you can take lessons.
Do I need to bring anything to my first lesson?
Yes — your UK provisional licence and any glasses or contact lenses if required for driving.
How do I pay for lessons?
Payments can be made directly to Apex Driving Academy by cash, bank transfer, or card (depending on instructor). Block bookings must be paid in full before the first lesson.
What if I need to cancel a lesson?
You must give at least 48 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule. If less notice is given, the full lesson fee will still be charged.
Can you book my driving test for me?
Unfortunately we can not book your driving test for you. We understand it is difficult time to get a driving test booked we ask you persevere and continue trying to book through DVSA website we have provided the link below to book your driving test.

Can I use the instructor’s car for my driving test?
Yes — if your instructor agrees you are ready. The decision is at their discretion to ensure safety.
Do lesson prices include the DVSA test fee?
No — lesson prices cover tuition only. You must pay the DVSA separately for your theory and practical test bookings.
Will I always have the same instructor?
Yes — once allocated, you’ll normally keep the same instructor throughout your training, unless circumstances require a change.
How many lessons will I need before my test?
This varies from pupil to pupil. The DVSA suggests the average learner needs around 45 hours of professional tuition plus private practice. Your instructor will let you know when you are ready.
What car will I learn in?
You’ll learn in a modern, dual-controlled car, maintained to a safe and roadworthy standard.
